ORLANDO TEMPLE
It was a neat experience to be able to see the Orlando Temple. The grounds are just beautiful!
It would have been nice to attend or walk the grounds, but we were there on Sunday. The gates were locked. Beautiful temple! It just makes you so proud to be a member, to see such a beautiful spot!

BYU AND FLORIDA STATE
One of the reasons for traveling with John and Gina to Orlando, was to see the BYU game. We drove 4 1/2 hours to Tallahassee from Orlando, only to sweat, have a heat stroke in the sun, and watch a horrible game. BYU forgot to show up. We still had such a great time, but it would have been a little sweeter if BYU could have been in the game. We don't recognize this team we are seeing this year!
One thing you can count on when you are with the Stone's, is you are going to laugh a lot! Les and John were totally on a one-liner streak that kept us laughing the whole time! The Stone's surprised us all with BYU shirts. They are such a fun couple! Can you see the sweat just rolling off our bodies? We were just soaked!
Another reason it is so fun to show up to an out of town BYU game is, you always see people you know. We ran into George and Laura Copeland who live in Florida. We love this couple. George and Les got their Master Degrees together and then stuck it out for the long hall getting their Doctorate Degrees also. So fun to see them!

Definitely one of the highlights of our trip was a day trip to the Kennedy Space Center. They were preparing for one of the very last space lift off"s to take place on November 1st. What we kept hearing and seems so impossible to me is, this is the very last time we will be sending any type of space shuttle into outer space. We have led the world in our efforts, and now this program has been cancelled by President Obama. Everyone there was very concerned about this. While preparing for all of the space flights, they listed all of the things that have happened because of our exploration into space. Inventions, new technology and things we would never have dreamed would have come about because of that research. So now it seems to me, we have given Russia an open door to take over. What is wrong with our country?

Looks like a fun trip despite BYU'S apperance for the game. I totally understand how you feel about the shuttle of course part of it comes from being with Thikol all those years ago as well. i remember when the first shuttle landed and what an amazing experience it was.
